Cristina
Cristina is 53 years old and married. She is a mother to five children and works in farming as well as being a housewife. Cristina completed only up to the end of second grade in primary school as her parents did not have the money to support her and there were not enough schools near her town. Of Cristina's five children, only three still live in the same community and only two are still dependent on their parents. One of the children only studied up to the end of school and the youngest, 17-years-old, is studying an open learning degree course. Cristina has a lot of experience working in the field as, alongside her husband, she puts in a lot of effort to keep her coffee crops clean. In addition the couple grows corn and beans. Their land is about five minutes from their home. Come harvest all the family helps to cut and collect the coffee. Cristina's products are purchased by people from a nearby community. These people work exclusively buying and selling coffee.

Cristina is applying for a loan from "Comixmul" as it will help her to buy the necessary supplies to improve her business. These supplies include manure and fertiliser and will give Cristina high quality products and she will have better sales and, consequently, a higher income for her family.

Cristina's goal is to see her daughter achieve her dream of graduating from university. Cristina also wants to expand her business in order to have a decent inheritance to leave to her children.

Doña Cristina es una mujer casada de 53 años de edad, es madre de 5 hijos, agricultora y ama de casa y tiene un grado de educación cursado hasta el segundo grado de primaria ya que sus padres no tenían la capacidad económica para apoyarla y no había suficientes centros educativos cerca de su localidad para que ella pudiese estudiar. Tienen 5 hijos de los cuales solo tres viven en la misma comunidad pero solo dos dependen de ella (Menores) uno de ellos estudio hasta ciclo común por la falta de recursos y la menor que tiene 17 años que está estudiando una carrera a distancia. Ella tiene mucha experiencia en las actividades del campo ya que en compañía de su esposo siendo ellos los únicos que se involucran hacen un gran esfuerzo para mantener limpias sus plantaciones de café. Ellos también cultivan maíz y frijol y sus tierras están ubicadas aproximadamente a 5 minutos de su casa de habitación, llegada la hora de corta o recolección del grano se involucran todos los miembros de su familia. Las personas que le compran su producto están ubicadas en una comunidad cercana y se dedican exclusivamente a la compra-venta de café.

Ella ha solicitado un financiamiento a la cooperativa COMIXMUL el cual le ayudara a adquirir suministros que necesita para mejorar la producción de su negocio como: abono, fertilizantes entre otros ya que le ayudara a lograr obtener una mejor calidad en sus productos y así tener una mejor venta y por ende más ingresos a su familia.

Doña cristina tiene como meta lograr que su hija cumpla su sueño de graduarse en la universidad y además lograr agrandar su negocio para forjar un mejor patrimonio para dejarle una herencia digna a sus hijos.
