Maria Virgen
María Virgen is a young woman who wants to study International Business. She’s requesting a loan to be able to attend school. This is her story:

Hello. My name is María. I’m an 18-year-old student living in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the country of my birth and where I’ve humbly lived my entire life in the company of my father, my mother and my siblings.

I completed high school with much sacrifice and success thus reaching one of my goals. Now I need your help to pay for my tuition so that I can continue developing as a professional with university studies majoring in International Business at UNAPEC, the Pro-Education and Culture Action University located in Santo Domingo. Your contribution will make it possible for me to reach one of my greatest dreams because my current situation does not allow me to do so because my family’s scarce resources have to be shared by a family consisting of three additional siblings. I know that with your support I will be able to get my Bachelor’s Degree graduating satisfactorily to make a small contribution to the state in the work environment and to support my family economically and above all to repay Kiva and Fundapec for the great help they’ve given me.

Some of my ideals that I need your help to reach are: to set an example for my family and for many other young people and more than anything else to continue pushing myself to reach my goals.
