Fatima is a 48-year-old married mother of five children, four of them at the primary school. She currently has a business weaving and selling embroidered blankets and she has one employee. She started this trade 10 years ago, learning her technique in a workshop where she was employed, and later decided to start her own shop.
The loan she is currently taking out is to increase her capital to buy silk, canvas, and a sewing machine. She will get these items from a distributor's wholesale. She will then embroider and sell her products at her shop. This allows her to generate income to support her family.
