The communal bank “Los Pinos” (The Pine Trees) is beginning its fourth loan cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Regional Office of Alto Lima. It is made up of eight members and is led by a board of directors, where Virginia is the President.

The businesses carried out by the members of the communal bank are varied; among them are a neighborhood store, selling chili peppers, selling palm wine, selling tools, and selling toasted cereal.

The loan that they will take out will benefit small microbusinesses, one of which Virginia belongs to. She says that she joined Pro Mujer a year ago at the invitation of a promoter from the organization who came to visit her.

Currently, she has a business selling chili peppers. She says that she learned this business from her sister, starting out with a little working capital. For this reason, that she needs to increase it now.

The loan that she will take out now is to increase her working capital (purchase chili peppers) that she will obtain in bulk from the traditional markets. Later, she will sell them in her sales stall. This type of work allows her to generate income to support her family, as she is married and has five children.

La A.C. “LOS PINOS” iniciará el cuarto ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Alto Lima, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Virginia es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: tienda de barrio, venta de ají, venta de taris, venta de abarrotes, venta de cereales tostados.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Virginia es integrante, ella indica que hace un año que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de una promotora de la institución que fue a visitarle. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de aji; da a conocer que este negocio lo emprendió de su hermana, empezando con un poco capital y es por esa razón que requiere aumentarlo ahora.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de aji) que adquirirá de las ferias tradicionales, por mayor, y posteriormente lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener a su familia, ya que ella es casada y tiene cinco hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el crédito y la atención en salud.
