Steve is excited by the business opportunity that TAHUDE Foundation offers through 10% commission for each biodigester that any local community entrepreneur promotes and installs. Therefore, Steve has decided to take a Loan of USD 3,125 to install five biodigesters in his community. This will have a significant contribution towards environmental conservation in his community. Steve’s success in this project will be the pride of TAHUDE Foundation as well. Every household that will invest in Steve and TAHUDE’s initiative will be able to save daily expenses for energy needs. Biodigester also produces a very nice fertilizer for sustainable agriculture.
About Tanzania Human Development Foundation
Tanzania Human Development Foundation (TAHUDE) is a non-profit organization that aims to tap into the different talents of men and women in Tanzania to effect positive changes in the lives of other people. Its current activities are aimed to promote renewable energy distribution such as solar power and biogas, community development, women empowerment, microfinance, children education, environmental conservation and more. Kiva loans will be used to help borrowers bring clean energy to their communities through biogas loans.
TAHUDE joined Kiva through our Experimental Partnership Program, and has therefore received a lighter level of due diligence. Accordingly, loans associated with this partner carry a higher level of risk than typical Kiva loans.
