Sophorn is a married mother of three dependent children, a daughter and two sons. Her children are all still in school. Sophorn lives in the Srey Snom district of Siem Reap. For the past 15 years, she has been a rice farmer who cultivates two hectares and earns about 20,000 KHR per day. Sophorn has borrowed previously from with VisionFund and has successfully repaid her loans which have helped to improve her living conditions.
Sophorn is requesting a 4,000,000 KHR loan from VisionFund to buy insecticide and rice seed for her farm. She hopes to earn more income from her crop to support her family.
