This is 31 year-old Alhaji. He is married, and has one child aged 3 months. In 2003, Alhaji established his rice, sugar, oil, salt, onions and cement business. He began his business because he left school at Senior Secondary School. He became a public motorbike rider for 9 months. In the 10th month, he bought his own motorbike. He rode for some years and sold the bike and opened a shop. Working 7 days a week and 14 hours a day, he earns about SLL 1,205,000 every month from this business. He would like a loan in the amount of SLL 5,000,000. Alhaji requires a loan in order to buy rice, maggi, salt, oil, and cement. In the future, Alhaji plans to build a house, expand the business and educate his daughter. The loan will help to generate more income. Inadequate capital is his major challenge.
