Mom is 28 years old. She is married and lives with two children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been making souvenirs (weaving bananas made of thread) for more than two years, earning approximately $3 per day. Her husband runs a business renting sound equipment. He earns about $7 each day. In order to improve her family’s livelihood, Mom is requesting a loan of $500 to purchase construction materials to build a store. This money will help her obtain an appropriate place to run a grocery store. In the future, she would like to expand her business and send her children to a good school.
