Desde muy joven conoció la actividad de la producción y venta de alimentos debido a que le ayudaba a sus padres y hermanas realizando esta actividad. Desde hace 12 años montó su propio negocio, siguiendo la tradición familiar de producir y vender alimentos y para ello recibe apoyo de su esposa, con esto ha generado ingresos suficientes para el sostenimiento de su familia. Darío es un señor emprendedor, activo, luchador y con gran esmero trabaja arduas jornadas de Lunes a Domingo de 6:00 am a 9:00 pm con el fin de aprovechar el tiempo al máximo para vender sus productos. El prestatario siempre va en busca de opciones que le permitan salir adelante, y ve en el crédito un apoyo para continuar avanzando y alcanzar sus objetivos, el crédito será invertido en la compra de utensilios de cocina (ollas grandes) e insumos (verduras, carne, harina, aceite); con esto podrá darle continuidad a su negocio incrementando su producción para satisfacer toda la demanda que tiene, pues sus productos son reconocidos en el sector. This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
