G.s Los Angelitos Group
In this Group: Luz Idalia , Sabina , Santos
Luz is an honest and responsible person who lives with her seven children and her husband in a city in the southern region of Honduras. Her business is buying and selling chickens and pigs. She needs this loan in order to stock her business with a great variety of these animals. With the help of the loan she hopes to increase her sales, since she will have more merchandise to offer her customers who come to see her. This will enable her to pay for her basic necessities.

Like the other members of this group, she hopes to be able to improve her standard of living a little bit with this investment. She dreams of being able to expand her business to other cities in her area within a few years. This would enable her to gain more customers who would purchase her goods. This in turn would help her to continue supporting her children as they become good people who contribute to society.

Sabina has also had a business buying and selling chickens and pigs for ten years. The young Santos has had a similar business for the last six years in the same community.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
