Dorcas is married and has been blessed with two children that are currently going to school. She lives in a rental house that has electricity and piped water.
For the past twelve years, she has operated a retail business, selling household consumables to local customers. She faces a major challenge with the high cost of transportation in her place of operation.
With the KES 25,000 she wants to purchase bundles of wheat flour, beans, maize flour, and soft drinks. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
