Ruqaiya's Group
In this Group: Ruqaiya, Samreen
Ruqaiya, whose hand is raised in the picture, is 29 years old and lives in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. She is the mother of four children, whose needs are growing as they get older.

Her husband provides transportation services in his auto rickshaw. He has been doing this work for about six years. To carry out his work, he gets up very early to look for passengers on the streets of his city.

Her husband enjoys his work because he can manage his free time and have more time to spend with his family. In addition, he is able to obtain very good earnings. Now he feels tranquil and comfortable because he has a regular income and more free time.

This will be Ruqaiya’s first loan with Kiva. She will use it to buy spare parts, such as tires, tubes, bolts and a headlight for the maintenance of her husband’s auto rickshaw.

She hopes that, with your cooperation, her husband will be able to carry out his plans. She promises to make his payments on time.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
