Rashida is married with three children and all her children go to school. She doesn’t take care of additional family members. She has a restaurant business which has been involved in for six years. She doesn’t have any other income generating activity.
She has applied for a loan of 600,000 Uganda shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more bunches of green bananas, beef ,rice, chicken and beans. She works at the market six days out of every week, and sells on a retail basis only. Her major business challenges include seasonality and thieves.
Rashida aspires of owning a fully stocked restaurant and also to build her own house. She lives in a rented house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and rent.
