Vicuñitas is starting its 5th cycle in Pro Mujer, as part of the focus group of Villa Tejada. It is made up of 8 members and is directed by a board in which Basilia is the president. The businesses that the members in the association help to get ahead are varied: alcohol sales, food sales, backpack and shoe sales, cosmetics sales and a neighborhood store.

The loan they took out benefited small businesses where Basilia is a member. She says she joined Pro Mujer 10 years and 8 months ago when her daughter, who is a member, invited her. Currently she has a business in which she sells alcohol. She decided to run this business after observing that it is a product that is consumed at all times of the year.

The loan they are taking out now is for increasing capital (buying alcohol) that she will acquire from city markets in the city of El Alto and later sell in her store. This work allows her to generate resources that make it possible to maintain her home. She lives with her partner and three children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responds that she likes the focus on health.

La A.C. “VICUÑITAS” iniciará el quinto ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Villa Tejada, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Basilia es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de alcohol, venta de comida, venta de mochilas y zapatos, venta de cosméticos, tienda de barrio.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Basilia es integrante, ella indica que hace diez y ocho meses que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación su hija que es socia de la institución. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de alcohol; este negocio lo instaló al observar que este es un buen producto de consumo en diferentes fechas del año.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de alcohol) que adquirirá de las ferias de la ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener en lo posible a su hogar pues ella vive en unión libre y tiene tres hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el área de salud.
