Jessica lives in Pangabuan, Tangub City with her family. She is married and a 31-year-old mother of two children. Her husband works as a seaman while she runs a general store to earn an income of her own to make a living.
In 2012, she joined Gata Daku MPC and recently, she borrowed a loan from Gata Daku MPC to buy feed, bottled products and canned goods for sale. She hopes to expand her business and to be able to renovate their house to have better living conditions in the near future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
