Nani is a 52-year-old farmer from the Kareli district. She lives with her spouse, grown son, daughter-in-law, two grandchildren, and a school-age daughter.

Nani cultivates agricultural land where various fruits and vegetables are grown. The harvests are sold locally. Her husband works as a constructor and her son is a worker at the metal and plastic workshop where doors and windows are produced. Both of the family members get small monthly salaries.

The existing income is not enough to cover food and everyday expenses for such a large family. That’s why Nani and her son decided to earn additional income and start a new business. Nani’s son is indentured to the workshop owner to provide him with raw materials, but he needed the car for transportation. With this start up credit, Nani will purchase the car for her son and he will start a distribution business.

According their estimations, the business will be successful and the family will get enough income to improve their living conditions. Nani is thankful, in advance, to all Kiva lenders.
