A loan of $400 helped to purchase more oil and rice for her business.

Rose's story

Rose is 42 years old and lives in Sanniquille, the capital city of Nimba County, which is rich in natural resources. Living conditions there are much better than in the capital city of Liberia, and it is the second-largest populated county in Liberia.

Fortunately, Rose completed 12th grade before joining a business, and she is good at managing her business. She is married, and her husband is a driver. They both have seven children between the ages of 26 and 2, only three of whom are presently attending school and live at home.

She started her business with a little money from her husband, and she managed the money to establish her business. For seven years now, she has been running this table business where she sells oil and rice in the local market. She spends 9 hours a day on her business. A problem she faces is a small income. She is requesting a loan to purchase more oil and rice for her business.

Her dream is to one day open a shop and see her children out of high school.
