Mayasa is a married woman with two children, one of whom attends school and the other is underage. She lives at a rental house that has electricity and piped water.
Mayasa has operated a beauty salon business for the past one year, operating at the market where passersby and town dwellers are her customers. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her business.
With the loan of 30,000 Kenyan shillings, she wants to add stock of cosmetics such as hair products, combs and hair oil in her beauty salon business. She dreams of expanding her business to earn more income in the future.
