In her spare time she enjoys making a special meal to share with her family.

Acting on her own initiative and with great dedication, Danika works in her small business selling pastries and cakes. She works every day from early in the morning for around 8 hours. She sells her products from home and also goes around the streets selling her cakes.

Danika is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, since she will be able to make improvements to her home with the support she is getting. She needs to cover the costs of building a room with suitable durable materials so that she can improve her family's security and wellbeing. After this she will carry on working hard to achieve her biggest dream of seeing her son become a professional.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
