Mariam is from Voskehat village, where she lives with her in-laws, husband, and three school-aged children. Her family has been involved in agriculture for many years and owns a plot of land where they cultivate potato, wheat, and greens. The family also grows apple and pear trees and they sell the harvest locally. Mariam's husband went to a neighboring country to find a good job and support his family financially. So, now agriculture is their only income source to help cover the family's daily costs. Mariam is a very hardworking farmer with a good credit history.
Mariam is requesting a loan to purchase three pigs, four calves, and fertilizer. She plans to become involved with livestock and expand her farming business. She hopes that Kiva lenders will support her family to enlarge their business and income.
