Rafael Alberto
Rafael is a 29 year old man. He is married and the father of three children. He has a lot of experience in the activities he does, such as growing winter, low-irrigation corn. His whole life he has worked in these activities and he says that he learned them from his go parents and he keeps doing them today on his own with his life's companion, with whom he has been for 9 years.

He travels about 800 metros on foot to where he catches the bus or pick up, which takes about 25 minutes to reach the city where he buys his materials (fertilizer, seeds, pesticides) to grow his corn. Later he returns paying a pick-up to bring the materials to his house where he takes them in a cart to the land where his crop is to apply them.

The loan he is asking Fundación Campo for is to buy fertilizer, seeds, pesticides, to pay for labor and machinery to prepare 14,000 square meters of land to grow corn and pipían.

Thanks to the loan, he will be bale to give his crop more benefits, and from that he hopes to have a better yield and have better income for his family and from his small profits he hopes to improve his home to provide a worthy home for his children.

His objective is to build a worthy home where his children and his life's companion can live. He also hopes that God will give him life to educate his children and keep farming the land to achieve his projected goals.

Rafael es un hombre de 29 años de edad, acompañado y padre de tres hijos. tiene mucha experiencia en la actividades que realiza, como en el cultivo de maíz de invierno y bajo riego; ya que toda su vida se a dedicado a dichas actividad el cual manifestó que la aprendió de sus padres y lo sigue desarrollando hoy por su propia cuenta junto a su compañero de vida; con el cual tiene 9 años de estar juntos.

Viaja unos 800 metros a pie hasta donde toma un autobús o pick up, el recorrido tarda unos 25 minutos hasta llegar a la ciudad donde compra los insumos(fertilizante, semilla, pesticidas) para su cultivo de maíz; luego se regresa pagando un pick up para llevar los insumos hasta su casa de donde los traslada en carreta hasta el terreno donde tiene el cultivo para ser aplicados.

El préstamo que esta solicitando a Fundación Campo, es para comprar fertilizantes, semillas, pesticidas, pago de mano de obra y maquinaria para preparar 14,000 metros cuadrados de tierra y cultivar maíz y pipían.

Gracias al préstamo podrá darle un mejor beneficio a sus cultivos, de los cuales espera tener mejor producción y teniendo mejor producción dispondrá de mejores ingresos económicos para su familia y de las pocas ganancias espera mejorar su vivienda para darles una vivienda un poco digna a sus hijos.

Su propósito, es construir una vivienda digna donde pueda vivir con sus hijos y su compañera de vida; también espera que Dios le de vida para darles un estudio a sus hijos y seguir cultivando la tierra para lograr sus metas proyectadas.

These loans are smaller than the typical loans offered by this field partner, and guarantee requirements are also reduced. Individuals who receive this type of loan also get access to technical assistance, information on good environmental practices and increased access to farm inputs like fertilizer. This is considered a high risk loan due to the population and loan purpose, and CrediCampo is one of the very few institutions in El Salvador willing to working with these farmers.
