Daniel tiene 45 años de edad, es casado y tiene dos hijos. Comenzó a trabajar en la agricultura desde los 12 años de edad, aprendió a trabajar la tierra con su padre y sus 6 hermanos. Además de sembrar maíz y frijol, se dedica a cultivar maicillo para obtener grano para alimentar sus gallinas, también el zacate de este lo aprovecha para alimentar su vaquita.

Don Daniel busca como llevar ingresos a su familia, en varias ocasiones trabaja como jornalero donde le pagan $5 dolares por día de trabajo. Los insumos y materiales los adquiere en una ciudad que se encuentra a 10 kilómetros de distancia a su casa, los transporta en bus para ahorrar un poco.

El crédito lo necesita para comprar 2 terneros para engordarlos y luego venderlos, obteniendo un pequeño ingreso en el futuro. Tener el dinero para aprovechar la época (lluviosa) donde hay abundancia de pasto para alimentar el ganado.
