Sabina is married and has four children. They all go to school. She lives in her own house that has electricity, but not piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food. For the past three years, she has operated a motorcycle business. She faces a major challenge of motorcycle breakdown and muddy roads during the rainy season. She dreams of buying a new motorcycle and developing herself. With the loan of KES 100,000, she wants to purchase a new motor bike. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to improve her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
