Gerald is a 24-year-old man who lives in the outskirts of a main town. He is married and has one child. Gerald is a businessman who operates a bar business. He also supplements his income with saloon and video library businesses. He started his bar business in 2011 and his aim was to generate income for sustaining his family. He sells his products to residents around his area.
His hopes are to expand his bar to a modern set up and allocate other branches in rural setting. He says he intends to use the loan acquired to buy more stock for his bar so as to attract more clients, who keep asking for more varieties of spirits that are new on market, but which he does not have.
His main challenge is lack of enough capital and refusal of clients to pay after getting drunk. He describes himself as a hard-working man and asks Ugafode to continue rendering their services to the local people.
