Waldice
View original language description ↓
Waldecide is 35, single and manages a chorizo business with his father. At his father's house, Waldecide and his father use an old hand-crank machine to produce sausage from local meat that they buy at the market. They do this at the beginning of the week and again on Thursdays, to get ready for the weekend. Then Waldecide and his father pack the sausages in a container that they strap to a motorbike and sell their products all over the region, both at markets and door-to-door. The majority of Paraguayans purchase sausage on Saturday, to prepare after sports games on Sunday and for family meals.
This is the first time Waldecide is requesting a loan with the Fundacion Paraguay. Using the funds, he hopes to increase the variety of products that he makes and repair his familiy's van. This will make it much easier to transport and sell the chorizo. He and his father really enjoy this business and they hope to constantly increase the products they have to offer and to be able to sell them right from their house.
