A loan of $1,450 helped to buy construction materials.

Hector Ernesto's story

Hector, 35, lives in the city of Ica in the Tinguiña District. Every day he gets up early to work as a motor-taxi driver, to earn enough income to cover household expenses and provide for his family, especially his small children. Hector works around nine hours and attends to up to 20 customers a day. He believes business is going well for him because he is very kind to customers and responsible when he drives.

Hector is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to their support he will be able to buy construction materials such as cement, iron and other supplies to continue building his house out of solid materials. This will give him a better quality of life and more safety for his family, and allow him to continue striving to reach his goal of "Having a taxi company".
