The group called Yiriwa is made up of married women who have an average age of 37, four children, and all live in traditional extended families in the town of Fana, Dioila prefecture, Koulikoro region (second administrative region of the Republic of Mali).

They met through ties of kinship, neighborhood and friendship. They sell condiments, clothing, and fruit and vegetables. The women of the Yiriwa group are on their seventh solidarity loan which will be used to buy the above-mentioned merchandise.

Bintou, the second from right to left, intends to buy five rolls of African print cloth in Bamako. She goes there to stock up every two weeks and most of her clientele is composed of women. She hopes to make an average profit of 45,500 F CFA which will be used to reimburse the loan and contribute to family expenditures.

Le groupe Yiriwa, est composé de femmes mariées, qui ont en moyenne 37 ans, 4 enfants et vivent toutes dans des familles traditionnelles élargies dans la ville de Fana, préfecture de Dioïla, Région de Koulikoro (deuxième région administrative de la république du Mali).
Elles se sont connues à travers des liens de parenté, de voisinage et d’amitié. Elles font le commerce de condiments, de l’habillement, des fruits et les légumes.
Les femmes du groupe Yiriwa sont à leur vint septième prêt solidaire qui sera utilisé pour acheter leurs marchandises déjà citées.
La cliente Bintou 2 eme de la droite vers la gauche compte acheter 5 rouleaux de pagnes à Bamako. Son cycle d’achat est chaque deux semaines et sa clientèle est majoritairement féminine.
Elle espère réaliser un bénéfice moyen de 45.500FCFA qui sera utilisé pour rembourser le prêt et contribuer aux dépenses de la famille

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
