The group Danaya is composed of married women, who average 38 years of age and five children each, all living in traditional extended families in Fana City, in the Badialan district, Région de Koulikoro (2nd administrative region of the Republic of Mali). They women know one another through ties of kinship, community, and friendship. They do commerce in condiments, clothing, ice, charcoal, milk, cosmetics, and soap.

The women of the group Danaya are on their thirteenth solidarity loan that will be used to purchase their merchandise as mentioned above.

This client, Kadia, who is the first person from the left in the photo, intends to purchase 12 lengths of Wax 'pagnes' (the colorful cloth of western Africa) from Bamako. Her buying cycle is monthly. She plans on making a monthly profit of 45,000 francs CFA.

Le groupe Danaya, est composé de femmes mariées, qui ont en moyenne 38 ans, 5 enfants et vivent toutes dans des familles traditionnelles élargies dans la ville de Fana, quartier Badialan, Région de Koulikoro (deuxième région administrative de la république du Mali).
Elles se sont connues à travers des liens de parenté, de voisinage et d’amitié. Elles font le commerce de condiments, de l’habillement, de la glace, du charbon de bois, du lait des produits cosmétiques et du savon.
Les femmes du groupe Danaya sont à leur treizième prêt solidaire qui sera utilisé pour acheter leurs marchandises déjà citées.
La cliente Kadia la première personne à partir de la gauche compte acheter 12 pièces de pagnes wax à Bamako. Son cycle d’achat est mensuel. Elle compte réaliser un bénéfice mensuel de 45000 FCFA.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
