Vicky lives in Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur with her family. She is 41 years old, and married with four children. Her husband is a fisherman, while she runs a sari sari store to earn a living.
Vicky joined Gata Daku MPC in 2012 and recently, she took a loan to purchase canned goods, noodles, and sugar to sell. She planned to use the revenue generated as additional working capital for business expansion.
She hopes to see her children be successful in the near future.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
