Ropia lives in Mombasa, Kenya. He is 37 years old and married with five children. Four of his children go to school. The youngest is two years old and has yet to start going to school. In Mombasa he has been running a retail business for five years now. He has two employees who run the business since Ropia is employed and is not on the premises to manage it properly. In five years' time, he plans to open two more branches of his business. The main challenge that he faces is losses. He found out about Milango through friends and is now seeking a loan to buy wheat flour, sugar, and maize flour for his business. The extra income he raises will pay his children's school fees and improve his family's standard of living.
