It has 8 members led by a governing board presided over by Inés. The communal bank members carry out a variety of businesses among which are: food sales, fruit sales, blanket weaving, neighborhood store, sweatshirt making, sweater sewing and peas and lima bean sales.

The loan they’ll take out will benefit small micro businesswomen like Inés. She indicates that she’s been part of Pro Mujer for 8 cycles having joined thanks to an invitation from one of the institution’s promoters that visited her at home. She currently has a business selling fruit. She relates that she started the business on her mother’s initiative who is in the same line of work and she decided later on to set up her own business space.

The loan she’ll take out now es to increase capital. She will buy fruit in the tropical communities in La Paz Department and then sell it in her sales space. This way of working allows her to generate income to support her home as possible since she’s single and has five children. When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she answers that she likes the training and the health services.
