Teddy is married with seven children, five of whom go to school. She also takes care of additional family members, including her brother. She has a business raising chickens. She has been in this business for eight years.
Teddy has applied for a loan of 2,000,000 UGX from MCDT SACCO to buy more bags of chicken feed. She works at home and sells on a wholesale basis only six days a week. Her major business challenges include seasonality and poultry diseases. She generates additional income by selling scrap.
Teddy aspires to own 2,000 chickens. She resides in her own house and the family has access to electricity and piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and utility bills.
