Oswaldo is 38 years old and married to Najjemba. He has six children and an orphan who lost his parents three years ago. Oswaldo is an agriculturalist who majors in coffee growing and owns about 4 acres of coffee plantations in his region.
From the income realized from coffee sales, he has managed to look after his family and, importantly, has constructed a permanent house for his family. However, Oswaldo’s biggest challenge is inadequate income to pay school fees for his children and at the same time re-invest in his business.
He is applying for a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan shillings to buy a motorcycle to be used as a boda-boda (transport service) to enable him to mobilize more money for his children who attend formal education.
His dream is to see all his children study up to the university level. He is a hardworking and resilient man.
