Stephanus
Stephanus proposes to study at the Academy of Maritime Nusantara (AMN) and would like to work in a large port in Indonesia. Currently he is a prospective student at AMN. He comes from the village of Kapuas Hulu, on the Kapuas river, the largest river in the island of Borneo, Indonesia. With these local conditions and circumstances of origin, he is motivated to learn and aspire to be a professional employee in a harbor.

However, Stephanus has difficulty concerning his studies, as his parents only work as rubber farmers, whose income is just sufficient for their daily needs. At present he lives with his uncle, because in the area there is no secondary school and at the high school level he was also aided by his uncle.

Stephanus hopes to get a loan from Kiva through the Student Loan program; he is very grateful to Kiva lenders who are willing to help him to continue his studies.
