Benito
Benito is a person with very limited resources owing to the fact that the property and land where he lives is situated on the banks of a river. This means his plots of land are small and at high risk from the strong turbulence of the water and the occasions when the river bursts its banks. In previous growing seasons Benito has suffered from overflows from the river leaving 50% of his agricultural land completely eroded and full of stones and leaving the arable layer uneven. For the reasons described his production has decreased, affecting the yields and so Benito's income has also been affected.

For this reason Benito has turned to Kiva to ask for a loan for the first time. He will use the loan to buy good quality seeds to work with so he can get back to normal.
