Mariatu
Meet 47-year-old Mariatu from the Rokupr Northern area in Sierra Leone. She is married with four children and she has two additional dependents that live with her because they are relatives. In 1989, Mariatu established her traditional medicine business. She began her business because she needed to create income to support the home. She works at the business every day, 12 hours per day. She says that the main challenge to her business is price inflation.

Mariatu requires a loan in order to buy more traditional medicine to expand her business. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to increase her business so she can attract customers and improve her family's standard of living. In the future, Mariatu plans to open a traditional clinic. She thanks you for your support.
