“LAS SEMBRADORAS” communal bank has started their eighth cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Panamericana regional office. It is composed of eight members, led by a Board of directors. Jhoana is the secretary. The businesses of the members of the communal bank are various. Amongst them are selling fruit, weaving cloth, weaving blankets, weaving miniature clothing and carpentry. The loan will benefit these small enterprises of which Jhoana is a member.

Jhoana joined pro Mujer five years ago, on the invitation of a friend who is a member of the institution. She lives with a life partner and has three children. At present her business is the production and sale of fried potatoes and plantains. She learned this business through her mother who also works in this business.

She will use this loan to increase her stock (buy potatoes) which she will get from wholesale sellers. She will prepare them in her selling space. This work allows her to maintain her household as best she can. When asked what she liked about Pro Mujer, she replied that she liked the Health services.

La A.C. “LAS SEMBRADORAS” iniciará el octavo ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Panamericana, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Jhoana es la Secretaria. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de frutas, tejido de bayetas, tejido de mantas, tejido de ropa en miniatura, carpintería.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Jhoana es integrante, ella indica que hace cinco años que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por la invitación de una amiga que es socia de la institución. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de producción y venta de frituras de papa y plátano; da a conocer que este negocio lo emprendió por consejo de su madre que también trabaja en esta área.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de su mercadería (compra de papa) que adquirirá de las vendedoras por mayor y posteriormente a la elaboración lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener en lo posible a su hogar pues ella vive en unión libre y tiene tres hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el área de salud.
