The “Mujeres del Campo Verde” (Women of the Green Field) group is in its first cycle in the committee program. They are starting to work together and are determined to grow and improve. They are taking the poverty elimination survey and three of the women are below the poverty line, that is to say, with very low income but working to improve their lives.

One of the members is Yrma who by means of her effort and non-stop work and by applying the vital behaviors of successful women is improving her poverty situation. She works selling food she prepares herself and that is quite delicious. She’s an enterprising woman who puts everything of herself into it because she sees a great hope in the committee program.

She requests this loan to buy more ingredients like vegetables, meat, condiments, etc. to make the food. This will help her make her business plan reality and will help her improve her income.

El grupo “Mujeres del Campo Verde” está en su Primer Ciclo del programa de comité, ellas están empezando a trabajar juntas y tienen toda la intención de ir creciendo y mejorando. Están haciendo la encuesta de eliminación de pobreza, donde tres de las señoras se encuentran por debajo de la línea de pobreza, es decir con ingresos muy bajos, pero trabajando por mejorar sus vidas.
Una de las integrantes es la Sra. Yrma quien a través de su esfuerzo y trabajo continuo y la aplicaciones de los comportamientos vitales de una mujer exitosa, se encuentra mejorando su situación de pobreza. Ella se dedica a la venta de comidas que ella misma hace y que le sale muy rica. Es una mujer emprendedora, y que pone todo de si, y que ve una gran esperanza en el programa de comité.
La Sra. Solicita de este crédito para la compra de más ingredientes para poder hacer sus alimentos, como ser verduras, carnes, condimentos, etc. lo que le ayudará a concretar su plan de negocio, el cual le ayudará a mejorar sus ingresos.

More information about this loan

This loan is part of the innovative “Poverty Stoplight” program developed by Fundación Paraguaya for women living in poverty. A “stoplight” measurement tool is used to help borrowers self-identify the type of poverty that affects them most (lack of income, dearth of financial opportunities, poor living conditions etc.). Borrowers rate 50 areas of their life as green (not poor), yellow (poor) or red (extremely poor). Together with their loan officer, they come up with a plan to resolve yellow and red indicators. Through this program, Fundación Paraguaya hopes to lift 9,000 women and their families out of poverty by 2017.
