Ayébahi did not attend school. She makes cornmeal porridge served with pâté (made from wheat flour and sugar) that she sells at a school in Benin. Concurrent to this business, Ayébahi sells a variety of other goods, and this enables her to do better in supporting her children. Ayébahi has been in this business for about four years. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin.

Le groupement AYITCHEME 3 est formé de dix neuf personnes qui habitent dans le même quartier et appartiennent à une même association. La représentante de ce groupe, Ayébahi, celle dont la main est levée sur la photo est âgée de 55 ans. Ayébahi est mariée à un certain Soglo et a trois enfants, tous à sa charge. Ayébahi n'a pas fréquenté l'école. Ayébahi prépare de la bouillie de maïs accompagnée de pâté (à base de farine de blé et du sucre), qu'elle vend dans une école du Bénin. Parallèlement à cette activité, Ayébahi vend d'autres produits divers ; ce qui lui permet de mieux subvenir aux besoins de ses enfants. Il y a environs quatre ans que Ayébahi exerce cette activité. Ayébahi s’approvisionne dans un marché du Bénin. En vue de rehausser le niveau de son activité, Ayébahi ambitionne agrandir son stock de vente ; ce qui lui permettra de mieux répondre aux exigences de sa clientèle. Pour ce faire, Ayébahi sollicite ensemble avec les autres membres du groupement AYITCHEME 3, un crédit auprès de ALIDé.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late.
