José Nicolas
José is 34 years old and lives with his life partner and their two children aged 10 and 12. He works as a day laborer and has approximately 10 years of experience working in agriculture, an activity he has initiated on his own initiative. He knows how to work as a bricklayer's assistant, but when he can't find jobs he cultivates 7.000 square meters of corn.

The loan he is applying for at Fundación Campo is for buying seeds, fertilizer, and pesticides for cultivating his 7.000 square meters of corn. That way, he can buy all the inputs he needs at once and at the right timing so that he gets a better price.

By sowing corn he is ensuring a harvest that will provide his family with food (tortillas), and he will sell a part in order to generate incomes to cover other household expenses. His main priority is to get a good harvest that generates enough income to pay back the loan he has with Fundación Campo, which has offered him financial support.
