Anuru, who is in her late 30s, is married and has three girls, who are in school. For 18 years now, Anuru has been running a food selling business (mamalishe). She works from 6:00am to 4:00pm daily and is able to make a good profit per month.

This will be her fourth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. Her previous loans were all paid back successfully. With those loan, she bought three cooking pots, 50kgs of rice, and other food cooking items. She used her profits to cover school fees, household expenses, and to reinvest in the business. She will use this new loan to buy business equipment to replace the old ones, like chairs and tables. She dreams that one day, she will be able to expand her business by cooking more varieties of food, and by opening branches in other areas.

She will share this loan with her loan group, "Tamba," which totals 14 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
