Kwekwe is a married and a mother of four and lives in Tiribe. She sells green groceries and, in addition, she also has a grocery shop to supplement her income, helped by her family. She is a very hardworking and enterprising woman who says that she has been able to greatly increase her income and help her family thanks to her hard work.
She always struggles to improve her grocery stall, trying to sell more and save money in order to have a more formal establishment. She is requesting a loan of Kes 35,000 to buy beans, sugar, oil, vegetables, tomatoes, and onions for resale.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
