Oretha is 43 years old and lives in Sanniquelle, the capital city of Nimba County, a place rich in natural resources and where the living conditions are much better than in the capital city. It is the second most populous county in Liberia.
Oretha completed six grades, and she has lived in a rural area all of her life. Traditionally she is married and her husband is a farmer: they both have six children. Her children are between 21 and 27 years old.
With the little money she received from her mother, Oretha was able to establish her business eight years ago by running a table where she sells palm oil, Vita and peppers. She spends nine hours a day on her business and faces no other problems except for few goods on her table. She is requesting a loan to purchase more palm oil, Vita, and peppers for her business. Her plan is to one day move from the table business to a shop. She thanks the lenders for their support.
