Chari is a married woman and lives with her husband and 12 children. She owns a house that neither has electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
For the past 10 years, she has operated a charcoal-selling business. She sells from home to her neighbours and passersby. She faces a major challenge of high cost of transportation. She dreams of expanding her business to become a wholesale supplier of charcoal in the village.
With the 30,000 KES she wants to purchase bundles of charcoal for resale. She decided to join to Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
