Carlos Andrés es un hombre de 26 años de edad, soltero y aún no tiene hijos. Actualmente se dedica a atender su negocio, una barbería que tiene hace 3 años. Conoció la labor hace varios años, cuando trabajaba en otra barbería como auxiliar y allí aprendió gran parte de lo que hoy sabe; en el momento le brinda la oportunidad de empleo a 3 personas más; adicionalmente vende mercancía como ropa, gafas, gorras, gel para el cabello, con lo cual ha logrado obtener los ingresos para su sostenimiento. Es una persona trabajadora, es emprendedor y organizado. Es el cuarto crédito que solicita con la Corporación y lo desea invertir en la compra de un nuevo lava cabezas, 3 máquinas para cortes y surtido de mercancía (camisetas, gafas, gel capilar) con el fin de seguir prestando un excelente servicio con buenas herramientas de trabajo y ofreciendo variedad de productos para incrementar sus ventas. Su principal sueño es poder continuar con su negocio y comprarse su propio apartamento, para tener una mejor calidad de vida.

This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
