Choeng, 55 and a widow mother of six children residing in Kror Kor district of Pursat Province, is a rice farmer on two hectares area. She has been involved in the current business for 20 years, earning about 18,900 KHR per day.

Choeng and her joint borrower have been with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner) for the past two cycles and have fully repaid the loans. She has succeeded in uplifting her lifestyle better than before.

For this cycle she is seeking 1,400,000 KHR, while her joint member is applying for 400,000 KHR. As the leader she will spend her loan portion to buy fertilizer for her farmland. She will spend another loan portion to buy pigs for raising for extra income.

She hopes to double her income and better her lifestyle.
