James is a married man with school-going children. They live at their own house that has electricity and piped water. His greatest monthly expenses are food and school fees.
For the past year, he has operated a goat meat selling business operating from the market where neighbours and passersby are potential customers. He faces a major challenge of seasonality in his place of operation.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
