Christina, who is in her late 30s, is married and has two kids, who are in school. Christina has had a business selling fruits and vegetables (genge) for three years. She is doing fine in this project, which permits Christina to meet her family’s basic daily needs. She starts working a 5am and works to 6pm daily and is capable of earning a fair income each month.
This will be her third loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. With the previous loans all, which she repaid successfully, she restocked her business with items like tomatoes, onions, vegetables and varieties of fruits. With the returns received from business, she paid school fees and household expenses. She will use this loan to restock the items that are missing in her business. Christina dreams of being able to buy a plot of land for house-building.
She will share this loan with her "Malengo" loan group, which consists of 11 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
