Mwanasha is single and has three children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
For the past five years, she has operated a rental house business and a baby care business for her neighbors and passersby. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her business.
With the loan, she wants to purchase cement for renovating her rental houses. She joined Yehu to acquire loans to boost her business.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
