Maria Elena Z. N. is a 29 year old single mother. She completed her studies through high school. She has one young daughter who is studying in primary school. She lives in the district of Victor Larco in Trujilo, La Libertad. She and her former husband had started a business printing t-shirts. A friend invited her to join the Communal Bank LAS PALMERAS from which she received her first loan for 300 Soles. She invested this money to purchase paints. Later she had problems with her husband and when they separated she decided to go into another business. Now she sells household goods from a small store run out of her home. She also participates in the local milk consortium in her neighborhood. With a loan for 800 Soles, to be repaid within 6 months, she plans to add stock to her store and to pay her daughters tuition. Her goal is to open a minimart to earn enough to support her daughter since she doesn’t have any support from her ex-husband. In spite of her problems she is happy because she is managing to improve her life.

La señora María Elena Z. N., es madre soltera, tiene 29 años, estudió secundaria completa, tiene 01 hija menor de edad que está estudiando el nivel primario; vive en el distrito de Víctor Larco Provincia de Trujillo, La Libertad.
Al comienzo la socia y su esposo se dedicaban a los estampados de polos. Por la invitación de una amiga ingresa al Banco Comunal “LAS PALMERAS” en este banco comunal recibió su primer préstamo de S/. 300.00 este dinero fue invertido en la compra de pinturas, luego tuvo problemas con su esposo y al separarse decidió cambiar de negocio; ahora se dedica a la venta de abarrotes en una pequeña tienda ubicada en su casa. También participa en el vaso de leche de su barrio.
Con el préstamo de S/. 800.00 que cancelará en un plazo de 06 meses, tiene pensado surtir la bodega y pagar la movilidad de su hija.
Tiene como meta, tener un minimarket para poder ayudar a su hija, ya que no tiene el apoyo de su esposo, pero a pesar de los problemas ella se siente contenta porque está logrando salir adelante.
